On March 3, Stanford HAI and its partners released the 2021 AI Index. The index is an independent initiative led by the AI Index Steering Committee, an interdisciplinary group of experts from across academia and industry. Its goal is to be the world’s most credible and authoritative source for data and insights about AI to provide policymakers, researchers, journalists, executives, and the general public a deeper understanding of the field. In this HAI weekly seminar, 2021 AI Index Steering Committee Co-Chair Jack Clark presents on the key findings this year, examining technical advances, global trends, diversity stagnation, and other main takeaways.
