Dr. Welling also serves as a senior fellow at the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research. Prof. Welling has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles in machine learning, computer vision, deep learning, Bayesian inference, generative modeling, and Graph Convolutional Networks. He received his Ph.D. in quantum physics under the supervision of Nobel laureate Gerard 't Hooft at the Utrecht University.
