In this talk, Nick Hudson from CSIRO's Robotics and Autonomous systems Group will describe the development and deployment of a dynamic hexapod robot in the DARPA Subtereanean Challenge while highlighting the design challenges and lessons learnt. We will also touch upon some of the unique advantages presented by a hexapod robot in comparison to the more common quadruped robots.
